A sleepy recap of an excellent series
Sleepy because it's late, the game was great
Phew! The ALCS was great, huh? And Game 7 did not disappoint.
Despite relating strongly to this sentiment…

Right now, the tentative plan is to do something similar for most World Series games: Go live on Substack immediately following the last out and send that video, along with a select few bits and bobs, in lieu of a dedicated newsletter. I think I’ll try to come up with some sort of rubric for reacting to the games so the video itself is a little more organized than what we filmed last night.
But before we get to that, we’ve got to preview the matchup: Blue Jays versus Dodgers. And we figure those fanbases have their rooting interests pretty well shored up so we want to format the preview as a guide for everyone else. We’ll do a series of “What to root for if ____” and then the blank will be… well, you tell us! We’d love to get some suggestions for specific scenarios. Obviously most people just root for some other team but if there’s something in particular you love about your team (or hate and wish was different!) tell us and we’ll point you toward a rooting interest in the Fall Classic. I think it’ll be fun.
Unless you’re a Mariners fan. In which case, this whole series will probably sting. But it was a hell of a ride for seven months. Maybe the MVP award will bring some more cause to celebrate.
